Nataly Lee is a Cambodian multidisciplinary artist and emerging curator. Born in Battambang during the Cambodian civil war, her family fled the country when she was eleven months old and spent four years in refugee camps along the Thai–Cambodian border before resettling overseas. Returning to live and work in Cambodia as an adult has become an important part of both her life and practice, deepening her engagement with questions of memory, belonging, place and cultural inheritance.

Through research, fieldwork and image making, Lee explores memory, migration, spirituality and the ways histories continue to shape identity and everyday life. Her work often engages with landscape as a living archive, drawing together personal, cultural and collective narratives through painting, photography, installation and moving image.

Alongside her artistic practice, Lee’s curatorial work reflects a growing interest in exhibitions as spaces for storytelling, dialogue and cultural exchange. She is particularly interested in how exhibitions create relationships between artists, audiences, cultural heritage and contemporary practice, and how cultural narratives continue generating meaning across past, present and future contexts.

Nataly is currently based in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

In addition to her practice, Nataly is the founder and creative director of Saat Studio
